It’s time for your family to put anxiety in it’s place… TOGETHER!

It feels like anxiety has taken over your home!

When a child or teen is struggling with anxiety, it doesn’t just affect them—it ripples through the entire family. Stress levels rise, communication breaks down, and everyone feels the strain. You’re exhausted. Nothing you’ve tried is working… in fact, things are getting worse and you’re not sure what to do anymore.

The impact of anxiety in your family is overwhelming, but healing and progress are possible—together.

Your family’s path to peace begins here.

At Farmington Valley Counseling Center, we’re in the trenches with you. We know that managing anxiety isn’t just an individual journey—it’s a family one. Our Family Forward 10-Week Anxiety Treatment Program combines evidence-based Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), mindfulness, and our proprietary TAME Framework (Talk, Affirm, Manage, Empower) to provide tools that work for the whole family. This program is designed to foster understanding, rebuild communication, and equip every family member with the skills needed to manage anxiety effectively.

How it works…

  1. Personalized Treatment Approach:
We start by understanding your family’s unique dynamics, challenges, and strengths. Together, we’ll develop a customized plan that focuses on progress as a team.

  2. Weekly Sessions:
Over 10 weeks, your family will participate in weekly sessions (60 minutes each) tailored to explore key areas such as:

    • Understanding Anxiety Together: Learn how anxiety impacts each family member and the family as a whole, so you can better connect and support one another. (No more missing the subtle signs of anxiety—even in yourself!)

    • Building Practical Coping Strategies: Master easy-to-implement tools like mindfulness, breathing techniques, and CBT strategies to reduce anxiety symptoms in minutes. (Say goodbye to overwhelming panic attacks and uncertainty about how to respond.)

    • Improving Communication and Collaboration: Strengthen family communication so you know exactly what to say—and what to avoid—when supporting each other through challenges. (No more walking on eggshells or misreading each other’s needs.)

    • Embracing Resilience and Growth: Practice essential skills for long-term success while adopting a family growth mindset that values action and learning from setbacks. (Imagine everyone moving past worry and stepping into a joyful, productive life together!)

  3. Progress Tracking:

This program is all about your family working together to get results! Throughout the 10 weeks, we’ll assess your family’s growth, reflect on progress, and adjust the approach as needed to ensure lasting success. Our goal is for you to enjoy closer, more meaningful connections, while working together to create more peace and harmony in your home!
