$80–$100/hr | W-2 | Private Pay | 15–25 hrs/week | Farmington, CT
Farmington Valley Counseling Center is expanding to include a comprehensive Psychological Testing & Evaluation Program, and we are seeking an experienced, fully licensed psychologist to join our team.
This is an opportunity to practice at the highest level of your training — within a respected, private-pay, family-centered practice — without the burden of running your own business.
We are building a high-quality evaluation program serving children, teens, young adults, and college students seeking clarity, direction, and support.
The Role
You will conduct comprehensive evaluations for:
ADHD
ADHD + Executive Functioning
Cognitive (IQ) assessment
Behavioral and emotional assessment
School accommodation documentation (IEP/504)
College Board accommodation evaluations
Experience with Autism evaluations (ADOS) and/or neuropsychological assessment is highly desirable.
This is thoughtful, thorough diagnostic work — not high-volume testing.
Opportunity for Clinical Work
In addition to psychological evaluations, there is optional opportunity to provide therapy services within the practice, if desired.

The Setting
Beautiful Farmington, CT office
Private-pay practice
Administrative and marketing support provided
Testing materials supplied
15–25 hours per week
Primarily after-school and weekend hours
Optional daytime hours during summer months
Who We’re Looking For
PhD or PsyD in Clinical Psychology
Fully licensed psychologist in Connecticut
Experience conducting comprehensive ADHD and cognitive evaluations
Strong understanding of special education processes and accommodation documentation
Detail-oriented, collaborative, and mission-driven
You value quality over volume.
You enjoy working with high-functioning families.
You want to practice with autonomy — without managing billing, marketing, or insurance.
Compensation
W-2 position with 401K Match
$80–$100 per hour, depending on experience
Materials, space, administrative infrastructure, and referral base provided

Our Ideal Candidate:
Licensed in CT (LCSW, LMFT, LPC, PhD, PsyD) with 3-5 years of clinical experience.
Ambitious, self-motivated, and independent, with exceptional clinical skills and a passion for helping clients thrive.
Strong communicator who excels at building positive relationships with clients and colleagues.
Exceptional clinical skills with proficiency in conducting diagnostic assessments, developing measurable treatment plans, and utilizing evidence-based treatment modalities.
Collaborative team player dedicated to providing high-quality, client-centered therapeutic services.
Skilled in using electronic health records (EHR) for efficient client documentation and scheduling.
Committed to professional growth and staying current with best practices through ongoing learning.
Experienced and passion for serving children, teens, young adults, and families utilizing evidenced-based treatment modalities (CBT, DBT); trauma-informed care strongly preferred (EMDR a plus).
